The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company in Carrollton, KY is seeking a Plant Manager to lead operations across production, warehouse, and maintenance. You will oversee safety, quality, budgeting, and supplier relations to drive efficiency and profitability.

You’ll manage a high-performing team, implement continuous improvement, and coordinate with regional leadership to align on strategy and customer service excellence. This role emphasizes strong leadership and a focus on results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field strongly preferred; equivalent experience in plant or operations management will also be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of overall manufacturing experience in a leadership role, including responsibility for P&L, safety, quality, associate development, production, and financial and inventory management
• Track record of building a high-performing team to succeed in a demanding, fast-moving, and growth-oriented atmosphere
• Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills with a proven record of building strong relationships and collaborating with frontline associates through senior company leaders
• Keen business acumen and attention to detail with a solid record of leading change and delivering superior safety and business results
• Working knowledge of all facets of manufacturing including continuous improvement, team building, safety, associate relations, quality, customer service, purchasing, distribution, marketing and financials.

Responsabilités

• Establish plant short and long-range strategic operating objectives and oversee production, field, warehouse, shipping and receiving, maintenance and office management; ensure compliance with regulations; monitor quality, forecast and schedule production; approve plant operating policies.
• Direct, manage and develop supervisory personnel to ensure efficient and safe operation of the plant.
• Establish, communicate, implement and enforce safety programs and procedures.
• Establish and monitor plant operating budget; prepare and analyze profit and loss statements; identify and implement improvements to positively affect profitability; recommend purchase of capital equipment and plant expansion.
• Identify sources of raw material; monitor quality and cost; negotiate supplier contracts ensuring quality of purchased supplies and services.
• Establish and monitor plant compensation levels to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness; review salary adjustments.
• Foster and maintain high level of customer service through on-time deliveries and meeting quality requirements.
• Communicate with other plant managers to share ideas and resources; work with Director of Regional Operations, salespeople and corporate office to ensure efficient operation.
• Develop and maintain positive community relations and promote good will and company image.
