ScottsMiracle-Gro in Carrollton, KY is seeking a Plant Manager to lead our manufacturing site and drive performance in production, maintenance, and distribution. You will establish short- and long-range objectives, oversee budgets, ensure quality and safety, and coordinate with regional and corporate teams to optimize efficiency.

The role requires a strong background in engineering or operations, 5+ years in a leadership role, and the ability to build a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field preferred; equivalent experience in plant/operations management will be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing leadership including responsibility for P&L, safety, quality, and inventory management.
• Track record of building a high-performing team in a fast-moving, growth-oriented environment.
• Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills with ability to collaborate across levels.
• Strong business acumen and ability to lead change with focus on safety and results.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing facets including continuous improvement, safety, quality, and customer service.

Responsabilités

• Establish plant short and long-range objectives; oversee production, maintenance, warehouse, shipping, and office management; ensure compliance with regulations; forecast and schedule production; approve policies.
• Direct and develop supervisory personnel for safe, efficient plant operation.
• Establish and enforce safety programs and procedures.
• Manage operating budget; analyze profit and loss; identify improvements; recommend capital equipment and plant expansion.
• Identify raw material sources, negotiate supplier contracts, and ensure quality of purchases.
• Set and monitor compensation to maintain internal equity and external competitiveness; review salary adjustments for staff.
• Foster customer service through on-time deliveries and meeting quality requirements; coordinate with regional managers and sales teams.
• Communicate with other plant managers and corporate office to optimize operations.
• Develop and maintain positive community relations and company image.
