Job summary

American Welding & Gas, Inc. (AWG) is hiring a Plant Manager based in Huntsville, AL to oversee production, safety, and profitability at the Huntsville facility and a second site in the western Atlanta area.

You will lead production planning, ensure regulatory compliance, manage budget and assets, and develop staff while driving continuous improvement initiatives across operations. The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 5+ years of leadership, and strong inventory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
• 5+ years of increasing leadership/supervisory experience
• Industrial/Specialty gases production experience preferred
• Proven ability to work under deadlines with little supervision
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Knowledge of inventory management
• Computer skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations, safety, quality, and profitability
• Lead production planning, scheduling, and workflow optimization
• Manage staff performance, development, and staffing levels
• Maintain regulatory compliance with DOT, OSHA and company policies
• Monitor budget, expenses, and asset utilization
• Collaborate with regional leadership and branch management
• Drive continuous improvement and waste reduction
• Maintain inventory accuracy and cash flow controls
