American Welding & Gas, Inc. (AWG) is seeking a Plant Manager based in Huntsville, AL, to oversee production, safety, and profitability at the Huntsville facility and supporting sites.

This role directs plant assets, staffing, and budgeting in collaboration with the Regional Operations Manager. The successful candidate will lead continuous improvement initiatives, coordinate with sales and logistics teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain a culture of safety and accountability across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience.
• 5+ years of increasing leadership/supervisory experience.
• Industrial/Specialty gases production experience preferred.
• Proven ability to work effectively under deadlines with little supervision.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production planning, routing, quality compliance, and facility upkeep to ensure efficient operations and reliable service.
• Lead plant safety, efficiency, and profitability at the Huntsville facility.
• Coach and develop plant employees and supervisors.
• Coordinate with the Regional Operations Manager on asset management and budgeting.
• Maintain relationships with branch managers, drivers, and customer service teams.
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve workflow.
