Job summary

Tofurky is seeking a Plant Manager for its Hood River, Oregon operations. The role leads safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives, directing manufacturing, maintenance, and continuous improvement efforts on-site.

This position emphasizes building a strong safety culture and operational excellence across the facility. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least eight years of manufacturing leadership experience, preferably including plant management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Food Science, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in manufacturing; plant management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages plant operations including safety, environmental, food safety, quality, production, maintenance, continuous improvement, training, and employee relations.
• Coaches and mentors others on building safety culture and practices.
• Promotes zero-incident culture by implementing processes to recognize hazards and prevent incidents.
• Guides labor usage strategies and optimizes resource utilization with changing production demands.
• Coordinates plant activities with managers to meet manufacturing objectives cost-effectively.
• Ensures compliance with policies and health and safety regulations.
• Partners with HR to drive positive employee relations.
• Supports R&D in new product/process development and costing of labor and yields.
