Tofurky is seeking a Plant Manager for its Hood River, Oregon operations. The role leads safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives, directing manufacturing, maintenance, and continuous improvement efforts on-site.
This position emphasizes building a strong safety culture and operational excellence across the facility. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least eight years of manufacturing leadership experience, preferably including plant management.
The Plant Manager will lead the Tofurky manufacturing operations to meet or exceed safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives through effective utilization of personnel, equipment, systems, and facilities.The Plant Manager is viewed as a key leader and contributor in building and maintaining a strong safety, food safety, and operational excellence culture for our operations located in Hood River, Oregon.
This job operates in both a clerical, office, and manufacturing setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This position is frequently required to enter the production floor and must follow personnel procedures pertaining to dress and code of conduct in that area.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel or crouch. The ability to frequently and safely lift and/or move up to 45 lbs. is required. The employee is occasionally required to sit and perform duties in a clerical setting.
This is a salaried, exempt position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This role is on-site and remote work is not offered. Flexibility in work schedule is occasionally required to accommodate needs of staff on multiple shifts. Occasionally required to work long days and on weekends based on needs of the business.
