Job summary

Pyxus is seeking a seasoned Plant Operations Leader to direct total plant performance across all shifts. You will drive production, quality, inventory, and logistics while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will build a high-impact management team and align manufacturing plans with customer demand. The role requires 10+ years in manufacturing, strong leadership of multifunction teams, and a deep understanding of cost management, performance accountability, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
10+ years in manufacturing or operations.
Proven experience leading multi-functional teams.
Experience managing plant-level or large-scale operations.
Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, inventory and logistics.
Experience with cost management and performance accountability.
Demonstrated leadership for quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Oversee and direct total plant operations with accountability for performance, cost, quality, inventory, and safety across all shifts.
Lead and develop a multi-functional leadership team and ensure succession planning.
Align production plans with material availability and customer demand.
Define and execute long-term operational strategies to improve capacity and efficiency.
Oversee capital investments, ROI, and maintenance strategies.
Collaborate with BRMs, HR, and other functions to meet customer requirements.
Manage plant budgets, cost analysis, and production goal setting.
Drive 5S, waste reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
