Job summary

Contech Engineered Solutions in California is seeking a Plant Manager to lead manufacturing operations, drive product quality, and optimize production efficiency and costs. You will direct a team of 15–20 employees and oversee safety, scheduling, inventory, and shipping to meet customer demands.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, and strong knowledge of ERP systems and Office tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience.
• 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Broad knowledge of safety, quality, production, accounting, inventory management, cost control/profit and loss management, and shipping.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset.
• Broad technical knowledge of product and production methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 15-20 employees, including selection, development, and evaluation.
• Oversee end-to-end manufacturing—from materials receipt to shipping.
• Develop and maintain high plant safety standards and compliance programs.
• Communicate policies and provide daily direction to production scheduling, administration, inventory, order processes, and transportation.
• Possess deep technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Analyze monthly metrics related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory.
• Stay current with regulatory requirements (ICC, DOT) and customer specs.
• Coordinate with internal and external customers on orders, routes, pricing, and shipping.
• Ensure adherence to quality procedures and proper documentation.
• Maintain inventory levels to support the local market.
