Job summary

Senneca Holdings in Grove City, OH seeks an Operations Manager to lead a custom manufacturing operation producing commercial metal doors and frames. The role is hands-on, spanning production, engineering support, inventory management, safety, maintenance, quality, and workforce development.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in custom/made-to-order manufacturing where schedules, customer requirements, and workflows demand technical expertise and operational discipline.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing leadership in a similar role.
• Experience in custom/made-to-order manufacturing environments.
• Strong production planning, scheduling, and capacity management knowledge.
• Experience leading multiple departments through supervisors/team leads.
• Proven ability to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Experience implementing safety programs in manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with production reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant operations with accountability for safety, quality, productivity, delivery, inventory, and cost.
• Direct departments through supervisors and team leads, driving continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Production, and Customer Service to meet customer needs.
• Develop capacity planning strategies to meet production and shipping goals.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements for efficiency.
• Oversee scheduling, material planning, and inventory to ensure on-time delivery.
• Drive safety initiatives and regulatory compliance.
• Establish KPIs and monitor productivity, quality, scrap, and labor efficiency.
• Manage maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability.
• Partner with HR on employee relations and organizational development.
• Prepare operational reports and forecasts for leadership.
