Job summary

Grace is seeking an Operations Manager for the Pasadena, TX site to oversee all production activities across three units, including batch-mixing, distillation and packaging. The role reports to the Plant Manager and requires safety-minded leadership in a 24/7 environment with night/weekend on-call duties.

The ideal candidate has a science or engineering background with 8+ years in specialty chemicals and 3+ years of leadership, plus experience with KPIs, budgeting and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering is required.
• Minimum 8+ years in a specialty chemicals environment with 3+ years in leadership.
• Experience developing and tracking KPIs and operations-related reporting.
• Experience in a PSM and/or RMP regulated facility.

Responsibilities

• Manage engagement, performance and development of direct and indirect reports.
• Lead cross-functional teams to safely operate the plant and meet EHSS, production, quality and cost goals in a 24/7 environment.
• Oversee asset management inputs such as capacity, resources, shutdown schedules and plant trials.
• Continuously review performance and report variances to meet targets.
• Support site and business leadership in development of strategies and operating plans.
• Champion continuous improvement and justify capital needs for better OEE and productivity.
