Job summary

Dog food Company seeks a Senior Supervisor to direct daily production and shipping under the Plant Manager. You will lead production and shipping supervisors, translate schedules into staffing plans, and remove obstacles to meet targets while ensuring food safety.

Responsibilities include setting hourly targets, reviewing daily performance, coaching teams, coordinating with maintenance, inventory and shipping, and enforcing GMPs and quality controls to prevent downtime and losses.

Qualifications

• Degree preferred in Supply Chain, Logistics or Business Administration.
• Minimum three years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing.
• Strong math and data skills to analyze rates, yield and output.
• Able to coach staff, make floor decisions and communicate across departments.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in hot/cold production areas with safety.

Responsibilities

• Own execution of daily production and shipping schedules.
• Confirm readiness of product, sequence, labor, materials, equipment; adjust plan with Plant Manager as needed.
• Set hourly and shift targets for output, yield, labor use, downtime, quality, and shipping accuracy.
• Review performance, assign corrective actions, verify recovery.
• Lead and coach production and shipping supervisors.
• Coordinate attendance, training, breaks and overtime; document performance concerns.
• Work with Maintenance, Inventory and Shipping on readiness and priorities.
• Enforce GMPs, sanitation, traceability, labeling, and other controls.
• Escalate questionable product; QA retains holds and release authority.
• Verify records, counts, downtime reasons, rework, scrap and handoff notes.
