Job summary

The Judge Group is hiring for a Plant Operations Supervisor to lead a skilled team in daily plant operations. You will direct operational staff through leads, manage hiring, performance reviews, rewards, and disciplinary actions, and drive efficiency and quality in high-volume processing.

Strong English communication is required; Spanish is a plus. You will ensure GMP compliance, safety, and ongoing process improvements while maintaining calm under pressure and making timely decisions.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in a manufacturing or food-processing setting.
• Proficiency in English; Spanish preferred.
• Computer literacy and basic software use.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage operational employees through functional leads, establishing daily objectives.
• Own all frontline employee responsibilities, including hiring, performance reviews, rewards, and discipline.
• Manage daily processes and work schedules; assign tasks and workload requirements.
• Identify training needs and certification requirements; ensure GMP and safety compliance.
• Maintain composure in stressful situations and make sound decisions; escalate as needed.
• Motivate employees toward higher achievement and fairness in treatment.
• Support development of a process improvement program; monitor KPI standards.
• Recognize trends and react proactively to address issues in operations.

Lead effective daily operations and develop a highly skilled plant operations team. Support the departmental goals of efficiency, high yields, quality production, and equipment operation.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Directly manage operational employees through functional leads, establishing daily objectives
• Own all frontline employee responsibilities, including hiring, performance reviews, rewards, and discipline
• Manage daily processes, including:
• Setting workload requirements, work schedules, and task-level assignments
• Identifying training needs and certification requirements
• Ensure safe operations at all times
• Maintain composure in stressful situations, make sound decisions, and elevate to the management team as needed
• Motivate employees toward higher achievement
• Treat all employees fairly and with consistency
• Support the development of a process improvement program
• Manage to KPI standards established by the Operations Manager
• Recognize trends and indicators and react proactively to address potential problems
• Ensure employees maintain industry guidelines for GMPs
• Proficiency in English required; Spanish language skills preferred
• Computer proficient

Food Safety Requirements/Responsibilities

• Comply with all plant, state, and federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations
• Comply with GMPs in the plant
• Assist in the maintenance of the food safety and quality system

Qualifications

• H.S Diploma or GED
• Supervisory experience
• Experience in food manufacturing; high-volume liquid processing, beverage, or related wet-process environments strongly preferred
