Job summary

The Judge Group, INC. is seeking a Production Supervisor for our food manufacturing operation in California. This hands-on leader will oversee day-to-day plant activity, guide front-line staff, and drive output quality, efficiency, and consistency on the production floor.

The role requires 5+ years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing (dairy or related food/beverage production preferred) and an Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred). English fluency is required; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Background in dairy or related food/beverage production preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities through shift leads, setting clear priorities and goals each day.
• Own front-line staffing decisions — hiring, performance reviews, recognition, and corrective action.
• Build and maintain standard operating procedures for daily workflows.
• Set staffing levels, schedules, and task assignments to meet production demand.
• Identify training gaps and ensure staff certifications stay current.
• Champion a safe working environment on the floor at all times.
• Stay level-headed under pressure, making clear decisions and keeping leadership informed.
• Drive team engagement and performance through consistent, fair leadership.
• Support ongoing process-improvement efforts within the department.
• Track performance against KPIs set by the Operations Manager.
• Spot early warning signs of operational issues and act before they become problems.
• Ensure the team consistently follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• English fluency required; Spanish proficiency a plus
• Comfortable working with standard computer systems/software

Food Safety Responsibilities:

• Follow all applicable OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations
• Uphold GMP standards on the plant floor
• Support the facility's food safety and quality management systems

Reporting Structure:

This role reports to plant leadership and oversees front-line production staff.
