Vulcan Materials Company in Nashville is seeking a Plant Supervisor to oversee daily aggregate plant operations, ensuring efficient production and environmental compliance. The role supports the Plant Manager in mine development through stripping and reclamation, while enforcing safety policies and regulations.

Key duties include supervising hourly staff, planning and prioritizing work, coaching, training, and coordinating with SHE and management to meet production targets and cost objectives.

Competenze

• Must have 3–5 years experience in conducting land striping & reclamation activities.
• One (1) year of supervisory experience is preferred.
• Construction materials industry experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Supervises activities of hourly employees conducting land stripping & reclamation functions. May perform hands-on repair work when necessary.
• Must have good planning skills and able to prioritize objectives.
• Possess results-oriented skills, maintain scheduling while meeting budget parameters.
• Participates in the recruitment process which may include screening and hiring hourly employees
• Schedules department requirements to support daily, weekly and monthly activities to meet the needs of material processing operations
• Coaches and disciplines employees to improve performance and ensure safety compliance
• Ensures employees receive proper training and instructions to perform job duties
• Schedules and assigns work based on production needs (manpower planning)
• Work with SHE department to promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with policies
• Collaborates with plant management to align mine development & reclamation with needs
• Implements cost-saving programs and continuous improvement activities
• Participates in operations planning and regular department inspections
• Monitors and maintains plant equipment and repairs
