Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Engineering, Food Science, Business, or a related field.
• Interest in food manufacturing and plant operations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to take ownership of a project and drive it through completion.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Completion of at least one year of major‑specific coursework preferred.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to loud noise and hot or cold temperature.

Responsibilities

• Lead a defined process improvement project focused on milk yield, operational efficiency, waste reduction, or another plant priority.
• Collect and analyze operational data to identify trends, losses, and improvement opportunities.
• Develop recommendations, help coordinate implementation, and track results.
• Conduct studies of manufacturing equipment and processes to evaluate efficiency and performance.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or Six Sigma principles to support improvements.
• Use available systems and data to create timely, accurate, and insightful reporting.
• Develop performance standards, metrics, and reporting tools to monitor operational performance.
• Present project findings, results, and recommendations to plant leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
