Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Woodland is seeking an Operating Engineer to perform routine and skilled preventive maintenance on buildings, equipment and facilities under general supervision. The role involves inspecting, repairing, and testing boiler, heating, cooling, plumbing and electrical systems to ensure safe, reliable operation in hospital settings.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of plant operations experience, an AA degree in engineering or a related field, and the required Steam Engineer

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience in Building Plant Operations and Maintenance
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of equipment, controls, and building automation maintenance
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings and technical manuals

Responsibilities

• Inspects equipment and facilities for proper operation and working condition
• Maintains routine records of malfunctions and maintenance actions
• Repairs or replaces components, tests for proper operation
• Service and repair heating, HVAC, refrigeration equipment and related controls
• Perform general plumbing, electrical and mechanical maintenance as needed
• Establishes courteous relations with staff, Health Plan members and the public
• Perform other related duties as required
