Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a skilled Electrician/Facilities Technician to ensure efficient operation, repair, and maintenance of equipment and utilities within the division of plant operation. You will monitor fire and safety systems to provide a safe environment around patient areas.

Responsibilities include daily rounds across buildings, diagnostics, emergency power handling, and preventative maintenance of electrical, HVAC, steam and related utilities to support continuous patient care

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years experience in electrical maintenance.
• Minimum of four years experience in maintenance of plant operations (electric, steam, water, HVAC).
• Refrigeration license preferred.
• NYC G17 Bulk Medical Gas Certificate required.
• Certificate of fitness per FDNY and AHJ.
• Experience with building management system computers (DDC) for HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and adjusts building systems for power, heat, water, air conditioning and fire safety.
• Perform daily rounds and repairs; recommend major repairs and handle emergencies.
• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic issues using blueprints; ensure continuous operation of services for patient areas.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to prevent failures and maintain utility systems.
