Job summary

Spring Gardens Oquirrh Mountain in Murray, UT is seeking a dedicated Plant Operations Director to oversee the maintenance of the community's physical plant, exterior, and resident units. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring weekday availability and readiness for 24/7 emergencies.

Qualifications

• Commitment to role and residents
• Life Safety/Emergency Compliance
• Prefer 3 years of experience in building maintenance/housekeeping
• Prior property management or multifamily housing experience preferred
• Knowledge of building construction is helpful
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
• Written and verbal communication skills for interaction with staff, physicians, residents and families
• Must pass Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB tests

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical plant, exterior and interior common areas, and resident units in line with company mission and values
• Hands-on supervision: completes work orders with the team
• Assist with apartment turnovers (painting, carpet cleaning, pressure washing)
• Maintain grounds and landscaping around the community
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents and guests, following safety standards

Duties and Responsibilities

• The Plant Operations Director is responsible for the maintenance of the physical plant, exterior, and interior common areas, and individual resident units in the Community, in accordance with the company's mission, vision, and values
• This is a HANDS ON POSITION, the Plant Operations Director completes work orders alongside their team members
• Ability to assist with apartment turnovers - painting, carpet cleaning, pressure washing
• Maintain grounds and landscaping around the community
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments

• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families
