POSITION SUMMARY
The Plant Operations Assistant, under the direction of the Production Supervisor, is responsible for operating manufacturing/packaging equipment, which includes equipment set‑up, checking for quality of product, and meeting production schedules. This is a direct hire, not a temporary position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Operate conveyor, shrink-wrap, and bagging equipment
- Hanging and sealing bags of product
- Filling and sealing shaker bottles of product
- Bag product with the correct blend to the required weight level
- Place product on pallets according to specifications
- Assist with maintaining equipment, which includes cleaning out production equipment and lines
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Performs other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Education / Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
Skills / Abilities
- Basic math skills
- Demonstrated ability to operate various types of machinery and equipment
- Mechanical and technical skills with exceptional problem‑solving abilities
- Must be able to communicate effectively with co‑workers and supervisors
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment

- Physical strength: The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
