Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety procedures and work as safe as possible at all times.
  • Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
  • Adhered to food safety and quality requirements.
  • Preparation of machine center for operation.
  • Daily operation of case packer, including startup, adjustments, changeovers, and cleaning.
  • Tear down packages for quality checks.
  • Monitor production line while performing visual checks for problems.
  • Perform machinery parts changeovers between different product runs.
  • Clean conveyor, pans and lubricate machinery as needed.
  • Verify work orders.
  • Check adhesive/glue type and fill as required.
  • Check glue temperature setting.
  • Check for proper bottle code (startup, hourly, after changeover).
  • Operates machinery using a touch screen computer.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Notify Supervisor when material/package quality issues are observed.
  • Notify Supervisor/Maintenance of any equipment issues.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, co-workers, and management.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Summary

The Production Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring production equipment, ensuring products meet quality standards, and supporting safe, efficient manufacturing operations. Typical duties include setting up and running machinery, performing visual quality inspections, recording production data, troubleshooting minor equipment issues, maintaining adequate materials, and following all safety and housekeeping requirements. Production Operators often work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and may be required to stand for extended periods, work rotating shifts, and collaborate with team members to meet production targets.

  • Monitor production line while performing visual checks for problems such as pileups, jams or glue that isn’t sticking properly.
  • Perform machinery parts changeovers between different product runs.
  • Clean conveyor, pans and lubricate machinery as needed.
  • Verify work orders.
  • Check adhesive/glue type and fill as required.
  • Check glue temperature setting.
  • Check for proper and accurate bottle code (startup, hourly, after changeover).
  • Operates machinery using a touch screen computer.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Notify Supervisor when material/package quality issues are observed.
  • Notify Supervisor/Maintenance of any equipment issues.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, co-workers, and management.

  • Work scheduled shift, weekends, and extended hours as required.

Physical Demands

While performing the essential duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, climb up and down stairs, reach with hands and arms, grasp, pick up, lift, stand, walk, twist, and perform repetitive motions. The employee is frequently required to balance, stoop, kneel, squat, and crawl. The employee must regularly push, pull, lift 10 pounds, frequently push, pull, lift 30 pounds, and occasionally push, pull, lift up to 50 pounds. The employee is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as operate production machines where the seeing job is at or within arm’s reach.
