Inside Higher Ed is looking for a Plant Operations Administrative Coordinator to support the Department of Facilities & Plant Operations at the College of Coastal Georgia (CCGA) Main Campus in Brunswick, Georgia. This is a regular, full‑time, essential personnel position.

Job Summary
This position coordinates the administrative, purchasing, and operational support activities for the Department and is designated by the institution as essential personnel.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the work order management system and dispatch service calls to appropriate personnel.
- Serve as the P‑Card holder for Plant Operations, ensuring compliance with college, USG, and state purchasing regulations; maintain records and reconcile transactions monthly.
- Purchase equipment, materials, and supplies; prepare purchase requisitions and vendor contracts; assist in the bid process for plant operations departments.
- Prepare and monitor purchase requisitions, bid documents, and vendor records for plant operations.
- Enter bid information into the Georgia Procurement Registry.
- Review and verify departmental electronic timecards.
- Manage the college’s vehicle fleet, scheduling routine maintenance and repairs, maintaining accurate service records, and ensuring vehicles are safe and operational.
- Support fleet usage, coordinate reservations, track departmental charges, and maintain the fleet management system to support efficient and compliant operations.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Other Required Qualifications
- Must possess a current valid driver license with an acceptable driving record and successfully pass an annual Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) review.
- Must successfully pass a credit check.
Required Experience
- More than three years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with State of Georgia, USG or other governmental purchasing processes.

- Knowledge of computers and job‑related software programs.
- Knowledge of state and agency purchasing policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of distribution, warehousing and materials handling principles.
- Knowledge of accounting and budget management principles.
