Job summary

College of Coastal Georgia is seeking an Event Operations Specialist (PRN) to provide advanced front-of-house and operational support for performances, rentals, and campus events at the Center for the Arts and Southeast Georgia Conference Center. You will act as on-site lead, manage ticketing, guest services, and crowd flow, and resolve issues in real time.

The role requires strong situational awareness, professionalism, and collaboration with leadership to ensure a seamless patron experience

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to lead small teams in a live event environment.
  • Valid driver's license to operate a campus golf cart.
  • Availability for evenings, weekends, and high-profile events.
  • Experience with ticketing systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support for front-of-house activities and serve as the on-site operational lead for assigned events.
  • Support ticketing operations, including monitoring ticket scanning flow and will-call distribution.
  • Assist with patron relations and venue policy enforcement, escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Support parking and traffic coordination, aiding with pedestrian flow and ADA access.
  • Assist with front-of-house setup and venue readiness, including signage and VIP areas.
  • Support safety and emergency response procedures and incident reporting.
  • Assist with post-event operations, including reconciliation and lobby breakdown.
  • Perform related duties to support successful event execution.

Job Summary

The Event Operations Specialist (PRN) provides advanced front-of-house and operational support for performances, community events, rentals, and institutional programs at the Center for the Arts and Southeast Georgia Conference Center. This position serves as an on-site operational lead during events, assisting with ticketing oversight, guest services coordination, parking and crowd flow management, and real-time problem resolution. This role requires strong situational awareness, professionalism, and the ability to make sound decisions within established policies. The Event Operations Specialist functions as a key extension of full-time leadership and helps ensure a seamless patron experience and operational execution.

Responsibilities
  • 1 - Provide operational support for front-of-house activities and serve as the on-site operational lead for assigned events when full-time event leadership is not present, ensuring established service, safety, and guest experience standards are maintained.
  • 2 - Support ticketing operations, including monitoring ticket scanning flow, assisting with will-call distribution, coordinating with box office personnel, and helping resolve ticket discrepancies or patron concerns as directed.
  • 3 - Assist with patron relations and venue policy enforcement, addressing concerns professionally and escalating complex issues to supervisory staff as appropriate.
  • 4 - Support parking and traffic coordination efforts, assisting with pedestrian flow, ADA access, and guest direction in collaboration with event leadership and security personnel.
  • 5 - Assist with front-of-house setup and venue readiness, including placement of signage, stanchions, registration tables, VIP areas, and completion of assigned pre-event checklists.
  • 6 - Support safety and emergency response procedures, assisting with implementation of established protocols, incident reporting, and coordination with security or campus police when needed.
  • 7 - Assist with post-event operations, including reconciliation support, lobby breakdown, lost and found documentation, and participation in operational debriefs.
  • 8 - Perform related duties as assigned to support successful event execution.
Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

-Associates or bachelors degree preferred.

Preferred Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in event operations, hospitality, venue management, performing arts, or related field.
  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., PurplePass or similar platforms).
  • Knowledge of performing arts or live event production environments.
  • Prior supervisory or shift-lead experience.
