HOMESTEAD GARDENS INC. in Davidsonville, MD is seeking a Plant Procurement Coordinator to source, order, and verify plant materials for installation projects. The role emphasizes accuracy, on-time delivery, and quality before reaching the job site.

You will collaborate with Wholesale, Horticultural Supply, and Retail teams to manage plant orders, substitutions, and timely fulfillment, ensuring projects stay on schedule.

Responsabilités

• Plant Ordering & Management: Place and manage plant orders using POS software and Eagle Browser; submit orders for wholesale fulfillment at least two weeks before installation; update orders as project changes or substitutions arise; maintain accurate order records and assign orders to jobs and schedules.
• Inventory & Quality Control: Identify, tag, and verify plant materials in nursery inventory; ensure plants are pulled, staged, and ready for installation; inspect plant quality and confirm order accuracy; uphold quality standards.
• Communication & Coordination: Partner with Wholesale, Horticultural Supply, and Retail teams to ensure timely fulfillment; communicate plant availability, substitutions, and updates to designers; coordinate transfers and resolve issues.
• Plant Sourcing & Substitutions: Recommend suitable alternatives when requested plants are unavailable; ensure substitutions meet project specs and size requirements; obtain approvals for upsized substitutions; source materials from local nurseries.
• Operational Support: Monitor inventory levels and availability; anticipate shortages and identify alternative sourcing solutions; support project timelines and installation readiness.
