Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Plant Manager to lead the Des Moines Portable Crew and oversee safety, production, quality, and community relations. The role is based in Winterset, IA with travel across Central Iowa and Eastern Nebraska to support other plants.

Responsibilities include leading safety programs, ensuring compliance with rules, managing the salary and hourly workforce, and delivering production targets and budgets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 7+ years of related experience in mining/production environments.
• Knowledge of MSHA regulations and safety standards.
• Valid US driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety programs and training.
• Direct and manage production, maintenance and quality activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Forecast production and budgeting with P&L oversight.
• Plan and schedule plant activities and maintenance.
• Prepare daily production, safety, and maintenance reports.
• Maintain housekeeping and appearance standards.
