Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a motivated individual to join our Gilman, IA operations team. The role supports plant operations, assists with production, quality control, loading and shipping, and acts as a spotter for mobile equipment.

You will learn plant-specific equipment and perform pre/post-shift inspections. Travel across Central Iowa and Eastern Nebraska is required with per diem, drive time pay, and travel compensation.

Qualifications

• High School degree.
• 1+ year related experience.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in plant operations including production, quality control, loading, and shipping.
• Shovel work, sweeping, lifting, cleaning, and acting as a spotter.
• Use a variety of tools and cleanup equipment to support production operations such as removal of material on and from beneath the plant.
• Assist Plant Operators and Equipment Operators with general duties as requested.
• Be willing to cross-train in all plant areas and learn to operate plant-specific mobile equipment.
• Perform daily pre/post-shift inspections on equipment and maintain maintenance log.
• Maintain good housekeeping in areas of responsibility.
• Other duties as assigned.

Martin Marietta is currently looking for a motivated individual to join our rock solid Des Moines Portable 2 team. This position is responsible for operating a variety of equipment and help with plant maintenance, production and equipment operation.
