Responsibilities

  • Lead, direct, and coordinate plant operations in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate daily with employees regarding production schedules, priorities, and operational challenges.
  • Partner with the Regional Vice President on plant performance, staffing, production, and customer-related issues.
  • Schedule and manage jobs to ensure quality standards and delivery deadlines are consistently achieved.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, urgency, continuous improvement, and exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment.
  • Train, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Establish staffing and shift schedules based on production needs.
  • Address employee performance and attendance concerns through effective performance management.
  • Coordinate with purchasing, production, and delivery teams to maintain a smooth workflow and effective communication.
  • Monitor inventory and ensure adequate material levels are maintained.
  • Oversee quality control processes with the goal of achieving 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Complete end-of-day business procedures and required month-end reporting.
  • Maintain accurate operational records, reporting, and on-time delivery metrics.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions, petty cash, and sales receipt reconciliation.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety standards and operational procedures.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Maintain the company’s professional reputation through strong leadership, responsiveness, and operational excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Thomas Printworks is looking for a driven, entrepreneurial leader who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and is passionate about building strong customer relationships, developing high-performing teams, and supporting operational and business growth.

The Plant Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the plant, including production, team leadership, quality control, and overall operational performance. The ideal candidate will efficiently manage daily operations while identifying opportunities for growth, improving processes, and contributing to continued success. Printing industry experience is required.
