Job summary

Conner Industries, Inc. is seeking a Plant Manager in Denver to lead production, shipping/receiving, maintenance, and daily operations at our lumber remanufacturing facility.

You will build a safety and quality culture, drive continuous improvement with lean Six Sigma, manage budgets, and ensure ERP data integrity while overseeing staff and local suppliers. This role requires hands-on leadership and strong communication in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical or business-related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Background in lumber remanufacturing, woodworking, or similar field preferred.
• Knowledge of lean Six Sigma methodologies and experience leading change.
• Analytical thinker with strong data gathering and analysis skills.
• Energetic, organized, and able to manage a wide range of projects and priorities.
• Excellent communicator who understands the importance of “doing what you say.”
• Familiarity with ERP systems, scheduling, inventory, and shipping processes.
• Strong computer skills with experience in the Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead facility overseeing all production, shipping/receiving, maintenance, and other operational activities.
• Build a safety culture focused on diligence, best practice, and good housekeeping.
• Build a quality culture aligned with customer needs.
• Drive continuous improvement using lean manufacturing techniques.
• Establish budgets and manage costs to improve financial performance.
• Ensure integrity of ERP system data and manage company assets on site.
• Maintain good working order of all equipment and facilities.
• Identify and manage local suppliers for maintenance and other needs.
• Act as company liaison for local regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Oversee staffing, training, and employee development.
• Communicate and support adherence to all corporate policies.
• Be a visible, hands‑on leader within the operation, leading by example.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
