Job summary

Conner Industries, Inc. is seeking a Plant Manager in Denver to lead production, shipping/receiving, maintenance, and daily operations at our lumber remanufacturing facility.

You will build a safety and quality culture, drive continuous improvement with lean Six Sigma, manage budgets, and ensure ERP data integrity while overseeing staff and local suppliers. This role requires hands-on leadership and strong communication in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical or business-related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Background in lumber remanufacturing, woodworking, or similar field preferred.
  • Knowledge of lean Six Sigma methodologies and experience leading change.
  • Analytical thinker with strong data gathering and analysis skills.
  • Energetic, organized, and able to manage a wide range of projects and priorities.
  • Excellent communicator who understands the importance of “doing what you say.”
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, scheduling, inventory, and shipping processes.
  • Strong computer skills with experience in the Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee staffing, training, and employee development.
  • Communicate and support adherence to all corporate policies.
  • Be a visible, hands‑on leader within the operation, leading by example.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation

$110-125K DOE

Work Environment & Attributes
  • Lumber remanufacturing facility with cutting and assembly equipment.
  • Indoor office area with outdoor production and lumber yard management.
  • Hearing protection, eyewear, and steel‑toed shoes required.
  • Initial travel expected, including training and possible customer visits.
