Job summary

SkyWater Search Partners is assisting a PE-backed manufacturer in Bloomington, MN to recruit a Plant Manager for its local assembly operation. The role will lead daily plant performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost and employee engagement, and will focus on Lean maturity and improving lead times.

The successful candidate will inherit a stable workforce and culture, and will develop supervisors and leaders while driving accountability, throughput, standard work and labor efficiency

Qualifications

• Plant Manager or experienced Operations/Manufacturing Manager ready for full-site ownership.
• Leadership of other leaders (supervisor, manager level) and at least 50 total reports.
• Experience in assembly, electronics, electromechanical products, PCBA, medical device, aerospace/defense or similar
• Demonstrated Lean skill, with examples of leading through different stages of the journey.
• ERP/MRP and formal quality-management system experience (NetSuite)
• Servant leadership style with a strong track record of developing people.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily plant performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost and employee engagement.
• Develop supervisors, leads and employees while creating clear accountability.
• Improve throughput, standard work, labor efficiency and customer lead times.
• Strengthen the use of plant metrics, visual management and daily problem-solving.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, HR and Planning.
• Manage staffing, operating budgets, headcount and capital-resource needs.
• Coordinate closely with the other sites in the business to align material availability, production schedules and capacity.
