Job summary

Legrand is seeking a Plant Manager for its Lighting & Controls division in St. Louis.

This role provides leadership for all plant operations, drives safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance, and leads continuous improvement initiatives across high-mix manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership, plus 5 years in a multi-functional facility, with strong experience in fabrication, welding, powder coating, and ERP/MRP systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
7+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
5 years leading a multi‑functional manufacturing facility.
Experience with high‑mix manufacturing, metal fabrication, welding, powder coating/paint, assembly, logistics, and engineer‑to‑order environments preferred.
Strong cross‑functional leadership and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

Lead plant operations and develop/execute strategies aligned with business objectives.
Champion safety, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead safety initiatives.
Direct production planning, scheduling, materials, maintenance, and plant performance activities.
Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, waste reduction, and productivity initiatives.
Manage budgets, capital expenditures, labor productivity, inventory, and cost reduction programs.
Recruit, develop, coach, and retain high-performing team members while fostering engagement and inclusion.
