Job summary

Alleguard, a leader in protective foam solutions, is seeking a Plant Manager to drive continuous improvement and optimize all plant processes, from production to safety and quality.

You will oversee daily operations, lead lean initiatives, manage budgeting with the Director of Manufacturing, and ensure compliance with environmental and safety policies while developing staff and maintaining IMS.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of post-secondary education. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or relevant field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or plant management position in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in directing molding operations.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement practices.

Responsibilities

• Overall performance of the facility; review financial and manufacturing metrics and implement improvements.
• Direct and coordinate facility operations within company policies and procedures.
• Provide direction, evaluation, motivation, and training to staff at all levels.
• Prepare operational budgets including capital expenditures; assess plant capacity and needed resources.
• Lead and support Continuous Improvement using Lean principles and tools; support certifications (IATF-16949, ISO-9001, ISO14000).
• Oversee daily production, scheduling, maintenance, and supervision of production personnel.
• Ensure Environmental and Safety policies are followed and regulatory requirements are met.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety programs and customer quality requirements.
• Provide resources to establish, implement and maintain the IMS.
• Other duties as may be assigned.
