Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking a Plant Manager for a plastics injection molding operation in Ohio. The role oversees two nearby facilities with 12–15 machines and roughly 70 employees, driving uptime, maintenance discipline and production improvements.

The ideal candidate brings direct injection molding leadership, hands-on technical knowledge on the shop floor, and a track record of reducing scrap, improving cycle times and controlling costs across multiple shifts.

Qualifications

• Direct experience in injection molding manufacturing.
• Experience leading daily operations in an injection molding facility with accountability for performance and personnel.
• Able to work on the production floor with technicians and maintenance staff to solve problems.
• Experience improving equipment uptime, preventive maintenance and addressing recurring issues.
• Proven ability to lead supervisors, maintenance teams and hourly staff with accountability and discipline.
• Track record of improving throughput, reducing scrap and controlling costs in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily production, maintenance, staffing, scheduling and overall manufacturing operations across two facilities.
• Improve injection molding machine uptime and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Strengthen preventative maintenance programs and equipment reliability.
• Identify and resolve recurring processing, tooling and equipment problems.
• Improve production throughput, cycle times, scrap rates and manufacturing efficiency.
• Establish clear performance expectations and accountability among supervisors and hourly employees.
• Improve plant housekeeping, organization, safety and operational discipline.
• Collaborate with technicians and maintenance personnel to troubleshoot issues.
• Evaluate machinery, tooling and equipment for repairs, upgrades and capital investments.
• Improve production planning, labor utilization and operating costs.
• Develop and monitor metrics for downtime, scrap, quality, productivity and on-time delivery.
