Job summary

Actus Nutrition is seeking a Plant Manager to direct operations at our Nebraska facility. You will oversee production, quality, maintenance, inventory, safety and employee relations to drive business objectives.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in food-grade management, dairy processing background, strong communication, and supervisory skills. Prior experience with lactose, filtration or spray drying is a plus. We offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of management experience in a food-grade operation
• Background in dairy processing facility
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Strong knowledge of plant operation procedures and business software applications
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Prior supervisory experience
• Lactose, filtration and spray drying experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing plans and programs to meet budgeted unit cost and output targets
• Coordinate activities across production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to achieve plant goals
• Sustain production capacity aligned with sales volume and minimize inventory levels
• Prepare and manage annual operating budget and track performance
• Ensure compliance with food-grade regulations and quality specifications
• Maintain and improve plant assets and implement capital projects
• Recruit, coach and lead staff; foster a team-based, safe working environment
• Implement safety and regulatory programs to ensure long-term safe operations
• Establish and monitor quality specs for incoming raw materials and finished products
• Work with QA to develop new products and improve processes
• Maintain production log data and optimize OEE using Six Sigma and other tools
• Maintain formulation data and product history files
• Develop relationships with the local community connected to the plant
