Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead operations at our client’s dairy manufacturing facility. This role will oversee daily production, quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain functions while ensuring efficiency, compliance, and team development. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong background in dairy or food manufacturing and a track record of driving operational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of plant operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety regulations are met.
- Lead and develop teams across production, maintenance, quality, and supply chain departments.
- Implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize costs.
- Ensure strict adherence to FDA, USDA, GMP, HACCP, and other food safety regulations.
- Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and cost control initiatives to enhance profitability.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, applying lean manufacturing and best practices.
- Maintain a safe working environment and enforce OSHA compliance.
- Oversee capital projects, equipment maintenance, and facility improvements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 7+ years of leadership experience in a dairy, food, or beverage manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of dairy processing, quality control, and food safety standards.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, process optimization, and cost management.
- Proven ability to lead teams, drive performance, and implement change.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
