Job summary

Ajulia Executive Search is seeking a Bakery Plant Manager to lead a high-volume bakery facility in the Tampa area. You will manage end-to-end production, drive financial performance, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in a GMP/FDA environment.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years of senior operations leadership, strong financial acumen, and hands-on bakery production experience. This permanent, full-time role offers a competitive salary and extensive benefits with opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 7–10 years of progressive leadership in plant operations or manufacturing; bakery or food-manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Strong financial acumen and knowledge of safety protocols with experience in continuous improvement frameworks (Lean, Six Sigma).

Responsibilities

• P&L Leadership — Owns full plant profit and loss, manages annual budgets, monitors COGS, and prepares/approves CapEx proposals.
• Bakery Operations & Production — Directs end-to-end bakery production including mixing, proofing, baking, cooling, packaging, and shipping to meet output targets and quality standards.
• Safety & Compliance — Ensures strict adherence to OSHA, FDA, environmental, and food-safety regulations (GMP, HACCP).
• Quality Assurance — Maintains product consistency, oversees QA programs, and leads continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean or Six Sigma.
• Team Leadership — Hires, trains, and mentors department heads across production, maintenance, quality, sanitation, and supply chain.
• New Product Costing — Provides operational feasibility, costing, and pricing proposals for new bakery products.
• Strategic Planning — Drives long-term operational strategy, capacity planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
