Job summary

New Horizons Baking Company is seeking a Plant Manager for its Columbus, OH facility. The role leads all departments, shaping manufacturing strategy, and driving cost objectives and process reliability while fostering a high-performance team and corporate values.

Ideal candidate has 5–10 years in plant management, strong Lean, safety, and budgeting experience, and a hands-on, collaborative leadership style in a high-volume bakery environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• 5–10 years in Plant Management with supervisory experience.
• Knowlege of Food Safety, HACCP, GMPs and sanitation.
• Experience with Lean Continuous Improvement.
• Experience with budgets and P&L responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee complete operation of the manufacturing facility.
• Ensure safe, compliant plant operation and food safety programs.
• Lead Lean initiatives and root-cause analysis for continuous improvement.
• Coordinate training and procedures with government regulations (OSHA, FDA, SQF).
• Plan capital projects, long-range planning, and succession planning.
• Drive operational excellence and Right First Time execution.
• Mentor managers and supervisors to build capabilities.
• Lead daily management processes to meet KPIs and financial goals.
