Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking a Plant Manager for our milk production facility in San Leandro, CA. You will oversee all production, quality control, safety, and schedules, driving efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement to deliver high-quality dairy products.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years in manufacturing with Lean implementation, strong leadership, budget experience, and proven ability to manage a unionized workforce while partnering with regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

• 7 to 10 years of increasing levels of responsibility in a manufacturing environment.
• 3 plus years’ experience with implementing Lean Manufacturing Principles.

The position will be based in San Leandro, CA and the salary range is $145,000 to $175,000 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. As the Plant Manager at our milk production facility, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality control, and safety. You’ll manage production schedules, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency and product quality. Leading a dedicated team, you will drive performance and foster a culture of continuous improvement, while managing budgets and resources effectively. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality milk products to our customers.

Main Responsibilities

We Are Looking For Candidates Who Possess The Following

• 7 to 10 years of increasing levels of responsibility in a manufacturing environment.
• 3 plus years’ experience with implementing Lean Manufacturing Principles.

• Capital project development, cost estimation, and management skills.

• Production Engineering knowledge.
• Ability to interface with regulatory agencies.
• Exceptional verbal/written communication.
• Ability to manage and develop employees.
• Strong skills knowledge of MS applications including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, - and PowerPoint and ability to grasp additional business-related applications.
