About the Role:
This role requires a strategic leader with strong business acumen, financial responsibility experience, and expertise in managing processes and projects. The ideal candidate is passionate about driving operational excellence while fostering a positive workplace culture. Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a dynamic Plant Manager to oversee our plant in Ocala, FL.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence

  • Champion the manufacturing excellence roadmap, holding yourself and others accountable for commitments.
  • Drive process improvements and simplify operations, focusing on cost-effective solutions.
  • Oversee the Commissioning/Qualification/Verification (CQV) process for new equipment installations.
  • Develop site strategies to manage Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and support growth or expansion.
  • Achieve cost savings by optimizing direct labor and overhead expenses.
  • Oversee and implement new product launches and pilot projects successfully.
  • Create schedules that balance production efficiency, supply delivery, and employee well-being, strategically leveraging overtime when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, including QA Index and Right First Time metrics.
  • Drive Total Quality Management (TQM) activities across the plants.

Leadership

  • Foster a culture that aligns with our mission, values, and success model.
  • Invest in talent development, aligning training initiatives with future business needs.
  • Provide guidance to operations groups and develop leadership and technical teams.

  • Proven leadership experience with a strong business acumen and demonstrated financial responsibility.
  • Expertise in process management, project oversight, and driving operational improvements.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Total Quality Management practices.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in engineering or business, alternatively, 7-10 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in manufacturing (packaging, process engineering, warehousing, and assembly).
  • Previous people management responsibilities.
  • Proven track record of applying lean tools and processes for sustained improvement.
  • Experience leading teams through formal management systems.
  • Experience participating on cross-functional teams, driving decision-making, and overseeing operational and financial metrics.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing supply chain functions (planning, logistics, quality, materials management, inventory control)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products; familiarity with AutoCAD and statistical packages preferred.
  • Some Transportation background preferred

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $95,000 - $115,000 + 15% Bonus. Full-time* team members receive** medical, dental and vision benefits starting day 1.
