Job Description
Pay range: $153,625 to $204,825
The primary objectives of this position are to provide overall direction for the Livingston Plant, including production, distribution, warehousing, sanitation, and maintenance functions. The position will include frequent contact with Live Production, Quality Control, Technical Services, Human Resources, Accounting, Commodities, Legal, USDA, industry associations, local government agencies, and selected customers.
Leadership:
- Promote, enable, facilitate, and drive team member safety.
- Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws.
- Demonstrate knowledge of EEO policies to provide a harassment-free work environment.
- Maintain a reliable workforce and positive team member relations.
- Build management depth for existing business and growth.
- Promote an environment and culture of engagement where all team members feel respected, valued, and informed.
Production:
- Develop short-term and long-term goals for production and monitor cost and quality systems to ensure profit margins.
- Apply leadership to develop personnel and systems that will position the manufacturing operation as an industry leader in cost and quality.
- Provide direction to ensure comprehensive team member safety programs align with company goals and values.
Technical and Engineering:
- Assist in product development, quality assurance, engineering systems, and equipment to support future profitability and growth.
- Develop new products and processes in conjunction with marketing and USDA compliance with SSOP and HACCP programs.
- Ensure quality programs and technical support to protect existing businesses.
- Provide engineering support for expansion and new methods.
Planning:
- Participate with the operations group in total planning, including capital requirements, budgeting, and manpower development for future growth.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A./B.S.) in Business Administration or related fields.
- 10+ years of progressively responsible management in the food processing industry, preferably in poultry.
- Demonstrated financial understanding, including budgeting, staffing, and cost analysis.
- Strong leadership skills and drive.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to work individually and in teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, financial software, etc.
