The Plant Manager is responsible for leading a team of highly skilled professionals within a Zeus facility in the Orangeburg, SC area. In this capacity, they will lead all aspects of manufacturing including production, maintenance, and toolroom activities. They will organize, direct, and control production operations and ensure adherence to the highest standards of safety, quality, and delivery. The Plant Manager will lead a team of managers and supervisors across various departments and will collaborate with cross functional support teams. They will foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

In this capacity, they will lead all aspects of manufacturing including production, maintenance, and toolroom activities. They will organize, direct, and control production operations and ensure adherence to the highest standards of safety, quality, and delivery. The Plant Manager will lead a team of managers and supervisors across various departments and will collaborate with cross functional support teams. They will foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with production planning to ensure schedule attainment across various production departments. Allocate resources effectively, including labor, equipment, and materials, to optimize production and complete customer orders on-time.
  • Review material inventories and ensure accurate distribution and consumption. Collaborate with the purchasing and planning teams to manage fluctuations.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to optimize production processes, implement LEAN principles, improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational efficiencies and minimize waste.
  • Direct maintenance and repair activities to ensure equipment, buildings, and grounds are maintained to a high standard of excellence.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze performance data, and implement corrective actions to address gaps in performance.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental regulations, maintaining a safe and sustainable work environment.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to develop and manage budget requirements effectively, optimizing resource allocation and cost control measures while maintaining operational excellence.
  • Hire, train, and manage employees. Work collaboratively with human resources to establish performance goals and ensure the team achieves its annual objectives.
  • Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Prepare and present reports on production, quality, and other key metrics to senior management

Qualifications

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum experience: Four (4) years leadership experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead within a complex, manufacturing facility including manufacturing operations, planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated capability to operate withing a high-speed production environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in LEAN, Six Sigma, and other problems solving methods.
  • Minimum experience: Four (4) years management

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering/STEM
