Job summary

CyberCoders seeks a Plant Manager to lead a manufacturing facility, delivering targets with safe, efficient production and high quality. You will drive process improvements, manage budgets, and develop a high-performing operations team.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing with supervisory experience, expertise in Lean/Six Sigma, and strong leadership and problem-solving abilities. Flexibility on hours and a hands-on plant floor presence are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive manufacturing experience with 3+ years in a supervisory/plant leadership role.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or continuous improvement.
  • Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily plant operations to meet schedules, quality standards, and deliveries.
  • Coach and develop supervisors and frontline staff to build a safe, accountable team.
  • Lead Lean/Six Sigma initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Manage plant budgets, labor planning and cost controls.
  • Ensure health, safety, and environmental regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate maintenance to maximize uptime and minimize downtime.
  • Establish KPIs and report performance to senior management.
  • Collaborate with QA to maintain product quality and address issues.
  • Oversee inventory, supply chain interactions and vendor relations.
  • Develop and update SOPs, emergency plans, and training programs.

Plant Manager
Position Overview

The Plant Manager will lead and manage all aspects of a manufacturing facility to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role is responsible for delivering production targets, optimizing processes, maintaining regulatory compliance, controlling costs, and developing a high-performing operations team. The ideal candidate has strong experience in plant operations, manufacturing systems, and people leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily plant operations to meet production schedules, quality standards, and delivery commitments.
  • Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and front-line staff to build a safe, accountable, and results-driven team.
  • Implement and sustain continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma) initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs.
  • Manage plant budgets, labor planning, and cost-control measures while identifying opportunities for productivity gains.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and maintain a strong safety culture across the facility.
  • Coordinate maintenance and reliability programs to maximize equipment uptime and minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs (production, quality, safety, OEE) and provide regular performance reporting to senior management.
  • Work with quality assurance to uphold product quality standards and resolve customer issues and non-conformances.
  • Oversee inventory, supply chain interactions, and vendor relationships to ensure materials availability and optimal stock levels.
  • Develop and update standard operating procedures, emergency response plans, and continuous training programs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of progressive manufacturing experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory or plant management role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes, plant operations, and production planning.
  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with a track record of building effective teams.
  • Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA) and best practices.
  • Proficiency with manufacturing software/ERP systems and data-driven decision making.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to operational needs; ability to work on the plant floor.
  • Preferred: certifications in Lean/Six Sigma, and experience in similar plant environments; familiarity with the keywords Plant, Manager, Manufacturing.
