Base pay range

$160,000.00/yr - $195,000.00/yr

As a trusted partner in over two million customer locations, they strive to deliver continuous innovation in scientific-based solutions worldwide.

They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager to oversee daily operations in their chemical manufacturing facility. The Plant Manager will be responsible for ensuring production efficiency, regulatory compliance, safety, and quality, in alignment with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company standards.

The successful candidate will ideally have a strong background in managing production processes in the chemical industry with excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee production schedules to meet customer demands and company goals.
  • Deliver plant OGSM performance metrics, ensuring optimal efficiency and output.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Enforce safety protocols and foster a culture of safety among employees.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other federal/state regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, training, and emergency response drills.
  • Upgrade team capability, cultivate compliance, high performing and engaging culture.
  • Address employee performance and staffing needs, ensuring adequate resources.
  • Promote collaboration and effective communication across teams.
  • Develop and manage the plant’s operational budget.
  • Monitor expenses, track cost-saving initiatives, and report financial performance.
  • Evaluate and approve investments in equipment and technology upgrades.
  • Maintain compliance with environmental laws and regulations, including waste management and emissions controls.
  • Oversee sustainability initiatives and promote green manufacturing practices.
  • Collaborate with sales, logistics, and quality teams to meet customer requirements.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining high quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 - 10 years of cross-functional leadership experience in a manufacturing environment within the chemical industry.
  • Knowledge of chemical processes, safety standards, and quality control systems.
  • Proven leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
