Purpose Statement

The Plant Manager is responsible for providing leadership across all departments, setting the vision and direction of the plant through guidance, encouragement, training, and development. This role involves coaching managers and supervisors to reach peak performance and managing departmental operations to meet both operational and financial goals, aligning with Rich Products Corporation's values, mission, and vision.

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes

  • Full responsibility for the complete operation of the manufacturing facility.
  • Ensure safe, efficient plant operations within company and legal standards, including food safety programs and audits.
  • Oversee production, inventory, safety, HR, quality assurance, maintenance, and sanitation programs.
  • Plan capital projects, long-term strategies, and succession planning.
  • Promote Lean Manufacturing and lead continuous improvement initiatives aligned with company vision.
  • Maintain ethical standards in managing resources and personnel.
  • Manage the plant’s capital and operating budgets.
  • Develop staff skills and foster a culture of engagement and continuous improvement.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Food Science, Engineering, or related fields.
  • 5-10 years in plant management and supervisory roles with increasing responsibility.
  • Knowledge of Food Safety protocols, HACCP, GMPs, sanitation, maintenance, and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Master’s in Business Administration is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity; foreign language skills are a plus.
  • Ability to manage diverse managerial teams.
  • Experience with self-directed teams and skill-based pay systems.
