Sea Breeze Energy Producers, LLC is a landfill gas to energy facility in Freeport, Texas, with a 4.0 MMCFD LFG processing plant, equipped with Vilter screw compressors and gas treatment equipment. Constructed by DTE Biomass in 2018, gas is sold to OCI Fuels Limited.

Job Summary

Location: Angleton, TX

This role oversees the operation and maintenance of a small to mid-sized plant, including personnel management, training, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The position involves leadership in continuous improvement, regulatory adherence, and fostering a positive work culture. The employee will operate and maintain a DOT-regulated pipeline and undergo random drug screening per DOT PHMSA requirements.

Key Accountabilities
  • Ensure safe and environmentally responsible plant operation in compliance with regulations and company values.
  • Lead daily operation and maintenance activities with process expertise.
  • Act as primary liaison with the customer regarding daily operations and production scheduling.
  • Develop and manage the annual O&M budget, including production forecasting and expenditure control.
  • Coordinate major maintenance and contractor activities aligned with production needs.
  • Prepare status reports on performance, issues, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Implement and document a planned maintenance program using the corporate CMMS system.
  • Conduct or arrange safety, technical, environmental, and employee development training.
  • Ensure safety policies are followed by employees and contractors; manage schedules and timesheets.
  • Collaborate with regional and support staff to share best practices.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 7+ years leadership experience in plant operations, or
  • Associate degree or industry certification with 3+ years leadership experience, or 2+ years military officer experience, or
  • Bachelor's degree with at least one year supervisory experience in similar facilities.
Other Qualifications
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot the facility independently.
  • Knowledge of plant equipment and systems, including electrical, engines, gas compression, heat exchangers, and control systems.
  • Understanding of energy efficiency, regulatory processes, and maintenance management systems.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CMMS software.
  • Ability to manage projects from start to finish and understand financial impacts.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions

Must meet physical requirements such as lifting up to 50 pounds, working in various environments including outdoors, and exposure to noise, fumes, and machinery. Reasonable accommodations are available for disabilities.
