Sea Breeze Energy Producers, LLC is a landfill gas to energy facility in Freeport, Texas, with a 4.0 MMCFD LFG processing plant, gas treatment equipment, and operations managed by DTE Biomass since 2018. Gas is sold to OCI Fuels Limited.

Job Summary

Location: Angleton, TX

This position oversees the operation and maintenance of a small to mid-sized plant, including personnel management, training, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. The employee will operate and maintain a DOT-regulated pipeline and undergo random drug screening per DOT PHMSA requirements.

Key Accountabilities
  • Ensure safe and environmentally responsible operation in compliance with regulations and company values.
  • Lead daily operations and maintenance with process knowledge.
  • Coordinate with the customer on daily operations and production scheduling.
  • Develop and manage the annual O&M budget and expenditures.
  • Schedule and oversee major maintenance and contractor activities.
  • Prepare performance reports and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Implement and document a maintenance program using CMMS.
  • Train plant personnel on safety, technical, and environmental topics.
  • Ensure adherence to safety policies and manage schedules and time tracking.
  • Collaborate with regional managers to share best practices.
Minimum Education & Experience
  • High School diploma and 7+ years leadership experience in power plant operations, or
  • Associate degree or industry certification plus 3+ years leadership, or
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot the facility independently.
  • Knowledge of plant equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
  • Understanding energy efficiency, regulatory compliance, and financial impacts.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CMMS systems.
