Job description

Our client is a Fortune 500 Company. They are looking for a Plant Manager for a large, complex manufacturing operation supporting demanding utility and data-center customers. The operation is characterized by significant manufacturing complexity, vertical integration, customer-specific engineering, and an engineer-to-order environment.

The operation is substantial in both organizational and financial scope, with 800+ employees. The facility is one of its largest sites and the operation is positioned for continued growth and expansion.

The plant requires a leader who understands that success in this environment is not simply about improving production metrics. The Plant Manager must be capable of integrating people, process, engineering, quality, supply chain, financial performance, customer commitments, capital investment, and capacity planning into a cohesive operating strategy.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Our Client is seeking an accomplished Plant Manager to lead one of its largest and most complex manufacturing operations. Based in the greater Milwaukee area, this is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced manufacturing executive who can strengthen operating discipline, elevate plant leadership, improve employee engagement, and position a large-scale operation for continued growth and expansion. The Plant Manager will also be expected to maintain a strong, visible presence at the site.

The Plant Manager will have overall accountability for the operational, financial, and people performance of the facility and will lead the site leadership team in delivering Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Inventory, People, and growth objectives. The leader will establish direction and priorities, drive disciplined execution, and ensure the organization consistently delivers against customer expectations, annual profit plans, and long-term strategic objectives.

This is an opportunity for a hands-on, highly visible manufacturing leader who thrives in a complex operating environment and has demonstrated success leading organizations through turnaround, transformation, significant growth, or capacity expansion.

The successful candidate will bring the scale, financial acumen, leadership presence, and operating rigor required to lead a sophisticated manufacturing operation while building a high-performing leadership team and strengthening the plant's culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

The Plant Manager will report directly to the Director of Operations and will be a key member of the broader operations leadership team. The ideal candidate should therefore possess not only the ability to successfully lead the plant today, but also the executive presence, strategic perspective, and leadership capabilities to potentially take on broader responsibility in the future.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex manufacturing operations.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
  • Experience with meaningful organizational, operational, financial, and capital responsibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through growth, transformation, turnaround, or significant capacity expansion.
  • Experience in electrical equipment, transformers, regulators, or related power-management products is preferred.
POSITION BENEFITS

In addition to having an opportunity to join and assist in the success and growth of this company overall, the role has a very competitive compensation package that will include an attractive base salary an annual incentive and a long-term incentive plan.
