ITW Industrial Decorating Solutions (IDS) is seeking a Plant Manager in Manchester, Connecticut to lead all manufacturing operations, including safety, quality, and production efficiency. You will manage a team, ensure timely delivery of quality products, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience. Strong leadership skills and problem-solving abilities are essential to succeed in this role.
As a key member of the operations team, the Plant Manager reports to the NA Operations Manager and is responsible for leading all manufacturing operations for the facility including safety, manufacturing, maintenance, quality and technical operations. The Plant Manager acts as the site leader, leading a team of 5‑7 direct reports, a total team of approximately 50 employees, and supports the NA Operations Manager and the broader leadership team to achieve business unit goals and objectives.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or technical degree preferred.
Experience/Skills: Minimum 5-year(s) experience in Manufacturing or Production related field. Knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, and inventory processes. Demonstrated experience successfully leading and implementing continuous improvement. Strong ability to manage through complexity and lead through change. Strong attention to detail, well organized and able to solve complex problems. Ability to self‑manage time to complete multiple tasks by required deadlines.
