Position Summary:
The Plant/General Manager oversees the P&L, drives business growth, and enhances profitability through continuous improvement and operational optimization, including supply chain management and manufacturing efficiency. This role is responsible for the overall performance of operations and quality management systems, ensuring product quality, service excellence, and timely delivery. The manager leads strategic planning and execution to meet objectives cost-effectively and exceed customer expectations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, direct, coordinate, and implement organizational strategies, objectives, policies, and activities to ensure smooth operations, maximize investment returns, and boost productivity and efficiency.
  2. Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives in production, including refining operating procedures, adopting best practices, and providing ongoing training. Develop performance metrics for quality, safety, cost, capacity, and operational efficiency.
  3. Analyze operational data and performance metrics to evaluate company and staff performance, identify cost reduction opportunities, and recommend policy or program improvements.
  4. Manage product flow in and out of the facility to optimize efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability.
  5. Establish or implement departmental policies, goals, and procedures in collaboration with management and staff.
  6. Oversee financial health by developing financial plans, monitoring budgets, and maintaining sound financial controls.
  7. Collaborate with the management team to develop systems, processes, and staffing plans aligned with organizational growth objectives.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies

  • Understanding of business management principles, strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership, production methods, and resource coordination.
  • Strong leadership with a strategic mindset, excellent change management skills, and the ability to drive organizational change.
  • Proficiency in organizational development, personnel management, budgeting, resource planning, and strategic planning.
