About the Role: Plant Manager

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  1. Ensuring operational excellence and managing P&L for the plant.
  2. Overseeing production operations, process engineering, customer relations, purchasing, facilities, quality, project management, and employee & labor relations.
  3. Meeting or exceeding performance objectives related to cost, efficiency, utilization, quality, and schedule as outlined in the Annual Business Plan.
  4. Acting as a change agent to manage new processes, training, systems, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  5. Collaborating with EHS to ensure safety and environmental compliance.
  6. Developing and improving the plant's technical, operational, and managerial resources.
  7. Building and leading a strong management team, fostering a positive, collaborative culture.
  8. Preparing production, cost reduction, budget, and project plans.
  9. Managing manufacturing systems, metrics, and controls to maximize yields and productivity.
  10. Maintaining excellent communication with all stakeholders.
  11. Managing employee relations, promoting growth, retention, and leadership development.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. 8-10 years of operations leadership experience across disciplines such as production, project management, quality, maintenance, and safety.
  2. Degree in engineering or operations management preferred; equivalent experience acceptable.
  3. Experience with manufacturing technologies, process improvements (lean manufacturing), and automation.
  4. Proven ability to lead change, build teams, and develop operational strategies.
  5. Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  6. Leadership qualities including integrity, results orientation, and accountability.

Physical Abilities and Working Conditions:

  • Mobility: standing, walking, climbing.
  • Articulation: lifting, reaching, grasping, repetitive movements.
  • Conditions: dusty/noisy environments, a mix of physical activities, office and manufacturing settings.
