Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related engineering discipline with 10+ years of plant leadership experience.
• P/L ownership and financial literacy required.
• CIP leadership experience leveraging Lean & Six Sigma methods.

Responsibilities

• Directs and controls the overall activities of Ezurio’s Irvine California operations.
• Plan, budget, implement and maintain cost controls and methods.
• Ensure safe production meeting quality and quantity requirements; oversee warehouse, quality, end of line testing, planning, and SMT operations.
• Establish and improve safety culture; drive Lean implementation and cost reduction.
• Manage plant P&L and budget; align production plan with demand and capacity.
• Direct manufacturing and operations teams to maximize return on assets.
• Schedule production; optimize manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital usage.
• Foster trained, motivated staff; conduct performance reviews and mentorship.
• Coordinate purchasing, production, and shipping with department heads; ensure on-time delivery.

Job description

Directs and controls the overall activities of Ezurio’s Irvine California operations. Responsibilities include planning, budgeting, implementing and maintaining cost controls, and methods. Additional responsibilities include the safe production of products that meet the customer's requirements for quality and quantity. This role has responsibly for the site’s warehouse, quality, end of line testing, planning, and SMT operations . This role onsite located in Irvine, CA. Legal authorization to work in the US is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for plant safety performance and setting the safety culture
• Continually improve safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes. Maintain and improve housekeeping in all areas
• Responsible for plant quality and setting a quality culture
• Responsible for Lean implementation and setting a Lean culture
• Responsible for plant P&L
• Manage spending against budget and in relation to changes in production volume
• Plan, organize and direct the manufacturing and operations team to best ensure the most effective return on assets
• Establish plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital
• Responsible for establishing all shift production schedules
• Foster a well-trained and motivated staff
• Conduct employee performance reviews, guide, mentor, and coach direct reports
• Confer with department heads to ensure coordination of purchasing, production, and shipping
• Establish group and individual accountabilities throughout assigned departments for problem solving and cost reduction, both on a permanent and ad-hoc basis, depending on need
• Manages customer relations as well as new business development strategies and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates
• Implements policies and procedures to meet customer expectations for On-Time-Delivery
• Improve manpower utilization within existing departments and processes. Schedule stability that allows for maximum return on efficiencies
• Work to establish management practices throughout assigned areas which include all employees’ positive involvement with opportunity for construction input and action
• Maintain individual skills keeping up to date with latest production and production management concepts.

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Good working knowledge of operations financials
• Strong ability to overcome technical challenges
• Strong and proven project execution and follow up skills
• Strong Lean & Six Sigma experience with CIP mindset
• SMT manufacturing / Electronics Manufacturing experience

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar degree desired. Experience in lieu of education may be considered
• Minimum of 10 +years of Plant Management experience in high volume high mix
• P/L ownership and financial literacy required
• CIP leadership experience utilizing Lean & Six Sigma methods
